Color & Movement Studies

I have always been fascinated with color, since childhood. Presently I closely associate color with emotions, both personally and in my work. In addition to colorful subjects, I am also very much drawn to instances where photography can capture the flow of movement, whether it is freezing a moment or capturing the evidence of motion.

I created these images by steadily moving my camera in varying patterns and speeds in proximity to an outdoor, static lighting installation. Since the source was a simple line of vertical lights, each image I captured felt like a stolen glimpse into a magical realm of color, invisible to everyone but me.

These next images capture a delicate and patient movement. I was so captivated by the slow grace of these jellyfish coming in and out of the light... I could have watched them for hours.
